The new Grimsson Fellowship is now open for applications, until 1 July. The Fellowship is a collaboration between the University of Iceland, University of Akureyri, Reykjavík University, the University Center of the Westfjords and the biotechnology company Kerecis, which originates in Ísafjörður.
International scientists, experts, academics writers and more can apply to stay and work at Grimshus for 2-6 weeks. The house is located at Túngata 3 in Ísafjörður and was for a while the childhood home of former president Ólafur Ragnar Grímsson. The only obligation for those who receive the fellowship is to give a talk or participate in symposiums here at UW or any of the three universities, during or soon after their stay.
All information can be found on the Grimsson Fellows website, and the application form can be found here.
