In his presentation, Dr.Gylfi Ólafsson will present findings from his research into the history of healthcare in what is now the healthcare region of the Westfjords from the beginning of recorded history to date. The presentation will be in Icelandic.
Dr. Gylfi Ólafsson was raised in Ísafjörður, has a PhD in health economics and was CEO of the Westfjords Healthcare Institution from 2018–23.
The Lunch Lecture on Friday takes place at the University Centre of the Westfjords on the second floor at the cafeteria. The talk will be in Icelandic and starts at 12:10 and finishes at 13:00. It is also possible to attend via zoom, the link can be found here: https://eu01web.zoom.us/j/6994747
