Lunch lecture:Digital stories of tourism and coastal communities

This lecture will be a series of four digital stories from students in the “From Extraction to Attraction” CRD 08 course. Students were given the task of developing these stories over the past two weeks – from deciding upon the topic, to script writing, to storyboarding and gathering audio/video. This is the world premiere of the stories they have produced.

Dr. Pat Maher is the teacher for the CRD 08 course, he is based full-time at Nipissing University in Canada and has taught/researched about tourism and recreation topics for 25 years, all around the globe. Pat will introduce the story groups and facilitate questions. The student storytellers are all CMM and CRD students in their first year, or on exchange, at the University Centre. They have diverse academic backgrounds and interests and come from Canada, the USA, France, Spain and Denmark.
