Lunch lecture: „You are always doing some physical activity“

The Lunch Lecture on Friday will be about  the importance of doing some physical activity and takes place at the University Centre of the Westfjords on the second floor at the cafeteria. In recent years, research on lifestyle diseases and the effect of sedentary behaviour on health have been a popular subject. The impact of exercise on health and the importance of exercising regularly throughout life will be discussed.

Unnur Árnadóttir is born and raised in Ísafjörður. Moved to Reykjavík to study at the University of Iceland in 1988 and moved back 32 years later.
BSc in Physical therapy from the University of Iceland 1993. MSc in Health Science from the University of Akureyri 2009. Licence in Pediatric physical therapy from The direrctor of Health in Iceland 2015.

Worked as a physical therapist at the State Diagnostic and Counselling Center from 1993-2020. Physical therapist at Westfjord Health Institute from 2021.

She has been an active runner for 30 years, has participated in various races in Iceland, Europe and America. Totally hooked on physical activity and knows nothing more exciting than to use own power to enjoy our beautiful nature.
