“Carbon: The art of science and the science of art”. Introduction to the artists.
On Friday May 17th, there will be an introduction of the Carbon project, which is a joint initiative between Háskólasetur (Catherine Chambers) and ArtsIceland (Elísabet Gunnarsdóttir). Artists from outside of Iceland received funding from a Creative Moves Europe grant to stay for the month of May and collaborate with local scientists. During the lecture, the visiting artists will introduce themselves briefly and then the group will reflect on the process of art/science collaborations. Catherine and Elísabet will introduce the project in Icelandic and the artists will speak in English.

The Lunch Lecture on Friday takes place at the University Centre of the Westfjords on the second floor at the cafeteria.
