Open House: UW's 20 Year Anniversary

On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the University Centre of the Westfjords, we are delighted to invite you  to celebrate this milestone with us at an open house on March 14th. At 1:00 PM, the University Centre's general meeting will be held, which is open to guests. The building will open at 2:30 PM, but the formal program will begin at 3:00 PM with addresses by the chairman of the board and other guests. Most of the building's institutions are participating in the open house, so residents can take advantage of the opportunity and see the diverse activities that take place in the building. Some institutions plan to offer refreshments and/or games, and this will be announced later.

Program:
14:30 – The building opens to guests
15:00 – Speeches on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the University Center and a 20-meter birthday cake
16:00 – Musical performance
17:00 – Students present their studies and life in Ísafjörður

In addition, there will be various presentations in the rooms of the University Center, such as research and conferences, photo exhibitions and presentations of student products. Bifröst University and the Agricultural University of Iceland will also attend and present their activities.
